The life of a prepper is certainly not dull. It has been a little over a week since the end of the Great Freeze of the South and there is still way more to do than there is time to do it. A crew of friends helped to gather a good bit of the fallen limbs and pile them of for burning/disposal. With a crew of about twelve, it only took about an hour and that was a major chore completed. There is still a good bit to do with the debris but at least now it is all gathered into one place.
The list of daily chores is still there, along with the extras like getting equipment ready for the spring. When you add in the curveballs that life throws at you, it’s easy to get behind. Any spare time I have will have to be devoted to getting caught up. I can’t make more time. I can only spend the time I have wisely.
For the moment, the first step will be to actually put pen to paper and make a “to do” list. From there, I’ll arrange it by importance. Taking it a step further, I’ll put time estimates next to each so I can knock out one or two when time allows. Getting caught up will be the priority for now. Once that is done, I’ll transition back into little side projects.
Don’t just prepare. Prepare to thrive.
